How do I select a word?
Press on its first letter and drag in a straight line to its last letter, then lift your finger. You can start from either end, so a word that reads backwards is fine too.
Which directions can words go?
Early levels use only across and down. From level 4 diagonals appear, and later levels use all eight directions, including reversed.
Why is a category pack locked?
Packs open in order once you have finished the Meadow world (World 1). Finish a pack and the next one opens. If you would rather not wait, tap the pack and watch a short video or spend coins to unlock it now.
What do the boosters do?
Hint lights up the first letter of a word you have not found. Reveal shows one whole word. Shuffle deals a fresh grid with the same words; anything you already found stays found.
How do I earn coins?
Every finished level gives a few coins, and you can triple them by watching a video right after. The Shop has a free-coins video too, and the daily puzzle pays a streak bonus.
What are hearts?
Starting a level uses one heart. Hearts refill on their own, one every 12 minutes, up to five. You can also refill them with coins or a video.
How are stars decided?
By how quickly you finish compared with a comfortable pace for that grid. There is no fail state: you always finish, the clock only sets the stars.
Is the daily puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. It is generated from the date, so everyone in the world gets the same grid that day.
Can I turn off ads?
The game has no paid ad-free option; ads are what keep it free. Interstitial ads are spaced out (never in the first levels, never more often than every few levels) and every rewarded video is your choice. In regions with privacy laws you can limit ad personalisation under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
I changed phones. Can I move my progress?
Not yet. Progress is stored only on the device, and there are no accounts. Cloud save is on our list.
The letters are small for me.
Turn on Larger letters in Settings. The grid also grows to fill wider screens and tablets.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the game removes everything it stored. See the Privacy Policy for ad-related settings.
Report a bug
Please include your phone model, Android or iOS version, the game version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot helps a lot.

The themed packs come from lists like the ones you would write on the back of an envelope. If there is a topic you would love to search, send it over with twenty or thirty words and we may add it.
